||nsects have small brains, but exhibit suprisingly robust
navigation capabilities, suggesting they have evolved some efficient and effective solutions. We are using a combination of field studies, behavioural experiments and robot modelling to unravel the
mechanisms that underly insect odometry, visual homing and route following in complex natural environments.
