Nicolas Valeyrie received an engineering degree in telecommunications with a specialisation signal processing and digital communications from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Bretagne, France, in 2009. He also received an M.Sc. degree in signal processing the same year. He started working in April 2009 in the Ocean Systems Lab as an intern, investigating decentralised range-only solutions for autonomous navigation and localization. Nicolas is currently a PhD student carrying research on target detection and classification in sonar images.
